This was a very special day for a very special young couple Matt and Gemma, the venue for their wedding was the Angel Inn at Hetton. This is a beautiful venue surrounded by lovely countryside in the Yorkshire dales. The day started with photographs of the bridal preparations and family members in the “Lodge” which has oak beamed bedrooms full of character. Here I captured the detailed images of the bride’s dress, hair, shoes and keepsakes along with the fun aspects of them all getting ready. The wedding ceremony took place in the Old Wine Cave with it’s natural stone floor, walls and oak beams creating a lovely country theme for the ceremony which was delightful, full of emotion and loving glances, these special moments were captured for them to cherish.
After the ceremony there were the traditional confetti and family group photos, Then the newlyweds and I went to nearby locations where I could spend some time alone with them to capture a series of lovely natural and fun shots which they really enjoyed.
This was a really brilliant wedding to photograph for Matt and Gemma, they were a truly fantastic couple to work with and they absolutely love the reportage style documentary of their wedding capturing the memories of their special day through creative and artistic photography.
