Wedding Photography Barnoldswick, nr Skipton

This was a very special day for Dale and Emelia, their wedding day had brought together several members of Emelia’s family who had travelled from Poland to celebrate their wedding with them. This was to be a Polish style wedding incorporating many celebrations and traditions throughout the day. We commenced with photographs of the bride and groom preparations followed by the blessing of the bride and groom by the parents in their home before leaving for the ceremony. The ceremony was conducted in both Polish and English at St Josephs Church Barnoldswick, which is a beautiful setting for photography with it’s very ornately decorated arches, windows and alter.

Following the ceremony and the traditional style congratulations, the little children gathered up the confetti on the ground so they could throw it at the bride and groom which was really cute.

We had arranged to go to a favourite place of Dale and Emelia for a series of personal photographs along with their little daughter, the best man and bridesmaid. Off we went in their wedding limousine a VW Campervan, to a nearby park area where we had a brilliant time capturing the smiles and laughter on their faces as they were enjoying themselves chasing each other, playing on the swings, the slides and spinning saucers, these images brought out the fun and playful element in their characters. I then captured them in a more relaxed and personal moment which created some lovely images for Dale and Emelia to cherish.

The reception was of Polish tradition with the sharing of the bread followed by the groom carrying the bride into the reception room, celebratory drinks (vodka) the sharing of the cake and the first dance, creating the perfect wedding day.

This was a very enjoyable wedding to photograph and they really are a very happy couple, and great to work with.
