Saturday 29th March 2014 was a very special day for Emily & John Paul Wilson, I was commissioned to provide the bridal flowers and reportage photography of their wedding day.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Oaks Hotel in Burnley which is a lovely venue with lots of photo opportunities in various locations inside the hotel with it’s impressive staircase and in the grounds with a huge lawn area and decorative entrance hall.The weather was very kind to us, dry and bright, ideal conditions for outdoor group and family photo’s.
The morning started with the photography of the bridal preparations capturing the hair and makeup artist at work, incorporating candid photographs of the bride, bridesmaids and little flower girls, (they are so cute). This was followed with detail photo’s of the dresses, shoes, jewellery,flowers and the bride in her gorgeous dress.
The groom and best man arrived in a VW camper van, which was later used for photographs of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony we went outside for group and family photo’s, incorporating photographs of Emily and John Paul releasing 2 white doves from a heart shaped white basket (which was a very special moment for them).
This was followed by photographs of the cutting of the cake and speeches along with the reception setup and candid photography of the guests.
This was a lovely wedding with many interesting features and Emily & John Paul are such a loving couple, making it a very enjoyable wedding for me to photograph and capture the special moments and memories of the day.
