Saturday 29th March 2014 was a very special day for Emily & John Paul Wilson, I was commissioned to provide the bridal flowers and reportage photography of their wedding day.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Oaks Hotel in Burnley which is a lovely venue with lots of photo opportunities in various locations inside the hotel with it’s impressive staircase and in the grounds with a huge lawn area and decorative entrance hall. The weather was very kind to us, dry and bright, ideal conditions for outdoor group and family photo’s.
The morning started with the photography of the bridal preparations capturing the hair and makeup artist at work, incorporating candid photographs of the bride, bridesmaids and little flower girls, (they are so cute). This was followed with detail photo’s of the dresses, shoes, jewellery, flowers and the bride in her gorgeous dress.
The groom and best man arrived in a VW camper van, which was later used for photographs of the bride and groom.
Following the ceremony we went outside for group and family photo’s, incorporating photographs of Emily and John Paul releasing 2 white doves from a heart shaped white basket (which was a very special moment for them).
This was followed by photographs of the cutting of the cake and speeches along with the reception setup and candid photography of the guests.
This was a lovely wedding with many interesting features and Emily & John Paul are such a loving couple, making it a very enjoyable wedding for me to photograph and capture the special moments and memories of the day.
This weekend saw the long awaited re-opening of our local pub The Anchor Inn at Salterforth following a refurbishment.
I was very pleased to be invited to take the professional photographs of the refurbishment for the landlord, Martin. There have been many changes made to the interior of the pub which have created a lovely country pub atmosphere for me to capture in my photography for their promotions, these images can be viewed here on my website. Should you require professional photography to help promote your business we would be very pleased to deal with your enquiry. You can contact us via facebook, email or telephone us directly.

Last night I was invited to attend the 80th birthday party on behalf of Marian and her family to photograph this special event for them. There were 4 generations of family members in attendance to celebrate it including her 5 great grandchildren two of which were the cutest 6 month old twins, along with some very dear friends. I was there to capture the special moments and candid shots of the evening for them with photographs of the children, individual family groups, couples, and friends, Marian cutting here birthday cake and finally a group photograph of everybody at the party ( 34 in total ). This was a very enjoyable photo shoot with some lovely people and I am really happy to have been asked to attend this special birthday party by the family at the Craven Heifer which was a very suitable venue for this event.

I was recently commissioned to be the official photographer for Rolls-Royce Barnoldswick employees Long Service Recognition Lunch. There were more than 20 recipients of these awards for 25 & 40 years service with the company, which were presented by senior management members of Rolls-Royce, Barnoldswick. The days photography began with the arrival of the delegates and recipients followed by the individual award presentations and corporate lunch. This was a very enjoyable event for me to cover and the resulting images captured, document the occasion and special moments for the award recipients.

I was invited by the organisers Jenny Purcell & Katie Collins to be the photographer for the Barnoldswick Bake Off challenge this was a very successful fund raising event and there were some marvellous cakes on display as you can see in my Events Gallery. The monies raised were allocated to the Operation Oliver campaign to assist with his recovery following his operation and Every Angel deserves a headstone for baby Harrison.
The remaining monies were used to purchase Christmas presents for children on the cancer and bone marrow wards at the Manchester Children’s Hospital. These were taken on the 3rd December by Jenny and Katie along with representative members from the Alma Inn Colne. Mr Lee Duerden very kindly provided his Rolls Royce to take the presents to Manchester in style.
Well done to Jenny and Katie for all their hard work it really paid off, their efforts and those of the local community were very worthwhile and benefited so many children.
